This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our boarding, daycare, and related pet care services. It is governed by UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection.


1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information to provide our services:


Client and Owner Information:

  • Full name and Emirates ID number

  • UAE residential address and contact number

  • Email address and emergency contact details

  • Payment and billing information


Pet Information:

  • Pet name, species, breed, age, gender, and weight

  • Vaccination records as required by MOCCAE

  • Medical conditions, allergies, dietary requirements, and behavioural notes

  • Microchip number and Dubai Municipality registration details

  • Medication schedule and veterinarian contact details


Service Usage Data:

  • Booking history, check-in/check-out records, and service preferences

  • Photographs and video footage captured during your pet's stay

  • Incident reports and care notes


Digital Data:

  • IP address and browser type when using our website

  • Cookies and usage data

  • Email and WhatsApp correspondence


2. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Service delivery: admitting, boarding, and providing daycare for your pet

  • Health and safety: monitoring pet wellbeing and coordinating veterinary care

  • Emergency response: contacting you or your emergency contact when needed

  • Legal compliance: meeting obligations under UAE Federal Law No. 22 of 2016 on Animal Welfare and MOCCAE requirements

  • Billing and payments: processing service fees in AED

  • Marketing and updates: sending promotions and care tips with your consent

  • Security: maintaining CCTV and photographic records for the safety of pets and staff

  • Quality improvement: analysing service usage to improve care standards


3. Legal Basis for Processing

Paw Street processes your data under the following legal bases as defined in UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021:

  • Contractual necessity: processing required to fulfil your service agreement with Paw Street

  • Legal obligation: compliance with UAE animal welfare laws and Dubai Municipality licensing requirements

  • Legitimate interests: protecting the safety of pets and staff on our premises

  • Consent: for marketing communications, photography, and non-essential processing


4. Photography and Media Consent

During your pet's stay, Paw Street may capture photographs and video footage for care monitoring, social media, and marketing purposes. By signing your service agreement, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to use images of your pet for these purposes. Your pet's name may be used alongside such content.


You may withdraw this consent at any time by writing to info@pawstreet.ae. We will stop using new images but cannot remove content previously published on third-party platforms. We will never publish images that identify you personally or disclose your Emirates ID, address, or financial information.


5. Data Sharing and Third-Party Disclosure

Paw Street does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share information only as necessary with:

  • Veterinary clinics, in the event of a health emergency or vaccination verification

  • Payment processors, to securely process AED payments

  • Dubai Municipality and MOCCAE, for licensing and welfare compliance

  • Emergency contacts, as designated by you

  • IT and platform providers, under confidentiality agreements

  • Legal authorities, where required by UAE law or court order


All third-party providers are prohibited from using your data for any other purpose.


6. Data Retention

We retain your data for the following periods:

  • Client and pet records: 5 years from your last service

  • Payment records: 7 years in compliance with UAE commercial law

  • Health and vaccination records: duration of the relationship plus 3 years

  • CCTV footage: 30 days, unless retained for an incident investigation

  • Marketing consent records: until consent is withdrawn, plus 1 year

  • Correspondence: 3 years from the date of last communication


7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including:

  • Encrypted storage and password-protected systems

  • Restricted access on a need-to-know basis for trained staff only

  • Secure disposal of physical documents containing personal information

  • Regular review and update of our security practices


In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected individuals and the relevant UAE authorities in accordance with Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021.

Our website uses cookies to enhance your experience and analyse traffic. These include essential cookies required for booking functionality, analytics cookies to understand site usage, and marketing cookies used only with your consent. 9. Your Rights

Under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, you have the right to:

  • Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you

  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data

  • Request deletion of your data where there is no legitimate reason to retain it

  • Restrict how we use your data

  • Request transfer of your data to another provider

  • Withdraw consent for marketing or photography at any time

  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests

10. Children and Minors

Paw Street's services are for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18. Any service agreement must be executed by an adult with legal responsibility for the pet. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data relating to a minor, please contact us immediately.
