3. Legal Basis for Processing
Paw Street processes your data under the following legal bases as defined in UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021:
Contractual necessity: processing required to fulfil your service agreement with Paw Street
Legal obligation: compliance with UAE animal welfare laws and Dubai Municipality licensing requirements
Legitimate interests: protecting the safety of pets and staff on our premises

4. Photography and Media Consent
During your pet's stay, Paw Street may capture photographs and video footage for care monitoring, social media, and marketing purposes. By signing your service agreement, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to use images of your pet for these purposes. Your pet's name may be used alongside such content.
You may withdraw this consent at any time by writing to info@pawstreet.ae. We will stop using new images but cannot remove content previously published on third-party platforms. We will never publish images that identify you personally or disclose your Emirates ID, address, or financial information.
5. Data Sharing and Third-Party Disclosure
Paw Street does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share information only as necessary with:
Veterinary clinics, in the event of a health emergency or vaccination verification
Payment processors, to securely process AED payments
Dubai Municipality and MOCCAE, for licensing and welfare compliance
Emergency contacts, as designated by you
IT and platform providers, under confidentiality agreements
Legal authorities, where required by UAE law or court order
All third-party providers are prohibited from using your data for any other purpose.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for the following periods:
Client and pet records: 5 years from your last service
Payment records: 7 years in compliance with UAE commercial law
Health and vaccination records: duration of the relationship plus 3 years
CCTV footage: 30 days, unless retained for an incident investigation
Marketing consent records: until consent is withdrawn, plus 1 year
Correspondence: 3 years from the date of last communication
